Implementation Success! This year, the Central Okanagan School District implemented myBlueprint, an online career and education planner for students in grade 7-12. Education technology leaders agree that reaching 50% of student s in the target market is an indicator of a successful implementation. We are therefore pleased to announce that our Central Okanagan School District has 72% achieved a student base of 72% in our first year! Career Life Programs would like to thank all of the Teachers, Staff, istration, Parents and the Blended Learning Program team for ing a successful implementation!

Career Assessments Learning Styles A Learning style is an indication of how you learn best. Visual learners learn best by seeing the information. Auditory learners learn best by hearing the information. Kinesthetic learners learn best by hands-on or experiencing the knowledge. Students who complete this inventory and gain self-confidence about how they learn and what strategies and tips can help them succeed.
Personality - Myers Briggs The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality Types is based on Carl Jung’s theory of psychological type. It indicates your personality preferences in four dimensions: Where you focus your attention - Extraversion € or Introversion (I); The way you take in information - Sensing (S) or Intuition (N); How you make decisions - Thinking (T) or Feeling (F); How you deal with the world - Judging (J) or Perceiving (P). The four letters that make up your personality type can help you to understand yourself and what careers best suit your personality type.

Interest Survey Results myBlueprint uses Holland Interest Themes (RIASEC) created by Dr. John L. Holland. Dr. Holland who was an academic psychologist, is best known for developing the most widely used system of career classification used today. Dr. Holland's theory proposes that there are six broad areas into which all careers can be classified, including a description of people and their interests. Everyone has traits from all six of Holland’s categories, but most people are best represented by a combination of categories. Determination of their top interest areas will allow an individual to easily find careers that will match their ion.

Looking Forward During the 2016/17 school year, we will be reviewing our implementation plan, as well as, the grade 7-12 scope & sequence. Beginning in September, students will be required to enter their Personal Education Numbers (PEN). This September, myBlueprint 5.0 will be released with some amazing new updates, including:
Multiple porfolios—students will be able to make a portfolio for each course, for a job that they are applying to, or even a personal portfolio.
Activities—students will be able to earn points by completing their grade specific activities, going above and beyond what is listed for their grade. Points can be used to enter prize draws and will increase student engagement.
New navigation and design—a students homepage will now move away from the grade-specific activities, and better address their questions and identified needs. Schools will be able to their own resources (newsletters, calendars, permission forms) for easier access, and students can navigate through the same questions we all likely pondered when we were 15! (How do I choose between university and college?)
Most importantly, we are moving to a fully responsive design - students will be able to engage with myBlueprint on their own and on their own devices. Accessing myBlueprint on cell phones and tablets will be even easier!

Looking Forward During the 2016/17 school year, we will be reviewing our implementation plan, as well as, the grade 7-12 scope & sequence. Beginning in September, students will be required to enter their Personal Education Numbers (PEN). This September, myBlueprint 5.0 will be released with some amazing new updates, including:
Multiple porfolios—students will be able to make a portfolio for each course, for a job that they are applying to, or even a personal portfolio.
Activities—students will be able to earn points by completing their grade specific activities, going above and beyond what is listed for their grade. Points can be used to enter prize draws and will increase student engagement.
New navigation and design—a students homepage will now move away from the grade-specific activities, and better address their questions and identified needs. Schools will be able to their own resources (newsletters, calendars, permission forms) for easier access, and students can navigate through the same questions we all likely pondered when we were 15! (How do I choose between university and college?)
Most importantly, we are moving to a fully responsive design - students will be able to engage with myBlueprint on their own and on their own devices. Accessing myBlueprint on cell phones and tablets will be even easier!
